the space-balls team

Andreas Baumann:

I studied mechanical engineering in Bochum, West Germany, where is also my home town Essen. 2,5 years ago I moved to Munich. Here I could choose my favourite modules "Ergonomics" and "Astronautics/Aeornautics". Now for me it is a dream to participate at the Student Parabolic Flight Campaign, for I got the "virus" from some students already flown in the last campaigns. Im glad to be part of such an international, kind of mixed up team, we are all friends so working on the experiment is real fun! (Like the experiment itself as well... hopefully)

You can contact me by email, also for everything concerning this homepage:

Edurne Carpintero Rogero:

I come from Málaga, Spain, where I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of the City. My favourite field is Thermodynamics, more deeply Renewable Energies. Right now I am doing my Final Project (Diploma) at the Technical University of Munich about clean energy (H2) in the auto motion field.

Here, in Germany, I met some friends who had participated in the last Campaign, and our team started to think about it. We got all excited only thinking in an experiment to participate and more and more excited about that we could be selected to try our experiment and feeling what “no gravity” is. I am all happy to have this amazing opportunity together with my team, we have great fun with each other and we enjoy working together.

Vitalij Laubach:

practical training in Sibiria, Iljushin IL 62

I am German, but born in Russia in the city of Jelisowo, Kamtchatka. From 1993 to 1997 I studied civil aeronautics at the State University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in the city of Krasnoyarsk. I started with my second study at the TU München in 1998. There I study Aeronautics and Astronautics in the nineth semester and right now I started with my diploma.

For my whole life I was interested in aeronautics and astronautics. During the time from 1992 to 1996 I was member of an aviation club, whrer I have flown gliders and light sport planes. I was always dreaming of owning my own plane (incl. license of cours ;) and to have an adventures life with good friends. Like this Parabolic Campaign.

Michele Velenderic:

I am studying mechanical engineering at the TU München. My study fields are computer science and energy systems, but I also think about to finish my master degree in astronautics.

Here is a quote from my favourite German movie, a little bit modified:
"dya know what is my dream???
- To bäller over the atlannic with zero g!!!"
